Cookie Policy
This page lists every cookie this site can set, when it appears, and what it does. The list was produced by testing the site rather than by copying a template, so it is short.

The short version
Browsing sets no cookies at all. Neither does filtering the shop. Cookies appear only when you put something in your cart or sign in, and every one of them is strictly necessary for that to work.
We use no analytics, no advertising and no third-party cookies. There is nothing here to consent to and nothing to opt out of, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep, so the next page knows something the last one did: such as what is in your cart. A session cookie is deleted when you close the browser. A persistent one has an expiry date.
Cookies we set
When you add something to your cart

These appear only for signed-in accounts, which includes our own staff. Sign out and they are removed.
What we do not set
- No analytics cookies. We run no analytics of any kind: no Google Analytics, nothing.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no pixels.
- No third-party cookies. Every page on this site loads only from our own domain.
- No cookies for browsing, searching or filtering the catalogue.
Why there is no cookie banner
UK law requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Every cookie listed above is strictly necessary: the cart cannot work without knowing what is in it, and you cannot stay signed in without a session. Asking you to agree to something we cannot remove, and that carries no tracking, would be a click that means nothing.
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask first.
Managing cookies yourself
Your browser can block or delete cookies: the options are under Settings, usually called Privacy. Blocking ours has one practical consequence: your cart will empty as you move between pages, and you will not be able to stay signed in.
The notice at the bottom of the page
The short notice about cookies remembers that you dismissed it. That is kept in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, so a notice about cookies does not have to set one. Clearing your browsing data removes it and the notice returns.
Server logs
Separately from cookies, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. That is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
If the list changes we update it and the date at the top. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.
